The NATO Headquarters Allied Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) in Ulm is part of one of the world’s most important security alliances. In a highly international environment, employees contribute to collective security, stability and cooperation among alliance partners.

To strengthen the team, JSEC is looking for a Staff Assistant (Pass and Permit) (m/w/d).

Your tasks

  • Support and close cooperation with HQ Security Section Staff Assistants regarding In & Out Processing, coordination and control of internal staff
  • Assistance in the production and provision of security passes requested by the HQ Security Section
  • Management of access cards defined and ordered by HQ Security Section
  • Assistance with maintenance of the access control database
  • Close coordination and cooperation with HQ Security Section and JSEC guards
  • Assistance with recording and maintenance of internal staff data
  • Execution of Security Plans, Guidelines and Directives as tasked by the HQ Security Section
  • Support of JSEC HQ events in line with the visitor process
  • Assistance with operational readiness (material, IT) during peacetime, exercises and operations
  • Monitoring and management of HQ Security Mail Inbox
  • Support of HQ Security training and exercises
  • Participation in security-related training to maintain proficiency

Your profile

  • Secondary or equivalent education and completed vocational training in a security field
  • At least two years of recent job-related experience in security tasks; military experience preferred
  • MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of secretarial and administrative support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German
  • Proof of a current SÜ2 security clearance or willingness to participate in an extended security clearance process in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (successful completion mandatory)
  • Citizenship of one of the 32 NATO member countries
